Alyce LaViolette Alyce LaViolette has worked with battered women since 1978, first as an advocate at WomenShelter in Long Beach and then in private practice.  In 1979, she founded Alternatives to Violence, one of the first programs in the country for spouse abusers. She also specializes in domestic violence, anger management, conflict resolution, expert witness, and gender issues in her broad-based private practice and works with individuals, couples and groups.
Alyce has a vast experience of speaking on all domestic violence issues.

This workshop will focus on a 12-lesson parenting plan for individuals who are divorced or separated when domestic violence has been an issue. The curriculum is for the facilitators who are teaching parenting. Lessons include sections on gender. hopes for your children, anger and anger management skills, the impact of domestic violence on children, empathy and age-related behaviors that can occur during separation. In addition, there are practice scenarios for participants.
