The recent public attention to campus violence has generated many questions about the vulnerability of college populations and the appropriate response of campus officials. As a psychologist, consultant, trainer and director of a campus violence office, Dr. Mount will offer insight into the prevalence of campus violence, as well as specific options and challenges that may be faced by student survivors.
The presentation will highlight major issues impacting college campuses in the area of sexual violence including developments in legislation, prevention efforts, campus responses and programs to support healing. Key areas of future need will be identified, with specific best-practice recommendations offered for both campus and community-based service providers.
